How we measure guest experience?

Voice Ledgers analyses the words guests write in public reviews — not the stars they select.

Our scoring system has three pillars:

Food Experience Score (1–10)

Based on guests’ language about flavour, consistency, creativity, value and emotional satisfaction.

Service Experience Score (1–10)

Based on warmth, care, attentiveness, waiting times, knowledge and operational smoothness.

Atmosphere Experience Score (1–10)

Based on comfort, vibe, décor, noise level, calm, and the emotional feeling of the space.

The VoiceScore (1-10)

This is the official Voice Ledgers score used for our Guest Experience Rankings.

VoiceScore™ is calculated as:

40% Food Experience Score
35% Service Experience Score
25% Atmosphere Experience Score

Only restaurants with ≥ 50 total public reviews, and ≥ 12 reviews in the last 12 months are included in our annual rankings.

Why linguistic analysis?

Words reveal more than stars.

Our system evaluates:

  • emotional density
  • friction language
  • silences
  • consistency
  • expectation gap
  • guest memory patterns

…but the public sees only the 3 simple, trustworthy categories.
